This easy to make, flavour-packed recipe is perfect for Christmas gatherings. With the festive flavours of cranberries, macadamias, and fresh chives, it's an impressive dish for when you’re asked to bring a plate.
Ingredients
Cream Cheese - Block (not spreadable)
Macadamias - Raw
Chives - Fresh
Cranberries - Dried
Salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 180°C. Place macadamias on a tray and bake for 10 minutes. Remove, allow to cool, and roughly chop.
Soak cranberries in boiling water for 10 minutes, then drain and let cool.
In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cranberries, chopped macadamias, and fresh chives. Add salt to taste and mix well.
Line a small bowl with clingfilm, leaving extra hanging over the sides. Press the mixture into the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
Remove the set cheese ball from the bowl using the clingfilm. Place on your serving platter and gently remove the clingfilm.
Optional Additions
Swap out Chives for Spring Onion or Parsley for a different twist on flavour.
