Classic Guacamole – Fresh Spring Flavour

Nothing beats a fresh bowl of guacamole made with perfectly ripe avocados. This classic recipe is quick, easy, and full of flavour — perfect for dipping, spreading, or topping your favourite dishes.


Guacamole

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 1 small tomato, finely diced

  • ¼ red onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped

  • Salt to taste


Method:

  1. Mash avocados with lime juice and salt.

  2. Stir in tomato, onion, and coriander.

  3. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.


Pro Tips:

  • Use avocados that are soft but not mushy — this gives the best creamy texture.

  • Mash lightly with a fork for a chunky guacamole, or blend briefly for smooth and silky.

  • Always add lime juice first — it helps prevent the avocado from browning.


Optional Extras:

  • Add a chopped fresh chilli or a pinch of cayenne pepper for heat.

  • Sprinkle in cumin or smoked paprika for a smoky twist.

  • Stir in diced mango or pineapple for a sweet, tropical kick.

  • Top with crumbled feta or pomegranate seeds just before serving for colour and flavour.
